Are Certain Original Creditors Harder to Delete The Debt Than Others?

When the debt is held still by the original creditor and it hasn't been sold yet (e.g. 90 days past due), then the original creditor who servicing the debt can matter.  On the other hand, if the debt has been sold, then the original creditor does not matter and virtually all debts will have a similar fight. On occassion, there are certain debt collection agencies that break the laws quite often (e.g. Messerli & Kramer, Encore Capital Group, Portfolio Recovery Associates). This doesn't mean much if one "asserts their rights" - as the lawsuits will often end with $1000 to $3000 in additional violations because these debt collectors do so many illegal things before, during and after collections.
