Do All Home Loans Have Escrow Requirements
Escrow accounts are a requirement on virtually all home loans, except in cases of a large down payment. FHA loans require all borrowers to have an escrow account, no matter the down payment. For VA loans, 10% down and a strong credit profile is required to opt out of having an escrow account. For conventional loans, 20% down or more is required.
