How Does A "Free Church" Remove Property Taxes
A "Free Church" has the ability to remove property taxes; however, sales taxes occur upon sale of the property to another entity - depending on the local states laws, it may still be liable for sales taxes.
To remove property taxes, each county will have a form that is able to be filled out regarding the removal of property taxes for a religiously owned property. Most counties will ask for "verification". All that needs to be given is the trust paperwork, some proof that a religious service is given on the property (video or documents of meeting the IRS's 14 points of a religious institution, see here) and the IRS's 508c1a statute that proves all conventions under this law will have the same benefits as a 501c3.
