After the card has been issued BUT BEFORE it has shipped, call the 3 credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) to get the inquiry removed before the account shows as ACTIVE to the bureau. We suggest waiting 2 weeks after the inquiry has been removed before applying for a new card elsewhere.
