What Is A Numident Record
A numident record is a computer-generated extract of a Social Security Number (SSN) application and any subsequent requests for a replacement SSN Card. Numident records are part of the Social Security Administration's (SSA) Numerical Identification (NUMIDENT) System, which is also known as the "Enumeration System" or the "Master Files of the Social Security (SSN) Holders and SSN Applications".
To request a numident record, submit a Privacy Act Request to the Social Security Administration. The request should include payment and proper consent, and can be sent to:
